Cloth fans have been replaced by air conditioners, huge stone grinders have been replaced by Mixies; water is being boiled by boilers installed on the walls, and there in one corner of the dinning hall stands the refrigerator taking away the worries of food storage. Even washing cloths has become very easy - washing machines - fully automatic and semi automatic do most of the work. Certainly, electronic home appliances have made life very easy.
Step in the market and you will find a host of them and the range too is quite a list. Take refrigerators for instance - in the market you will find domestic refrigerators, car refrigerators, frost free refrigerators, double door refrigerators, mobile blood bank refrigerators, ultra low temperature freezers and so on. Juicers, mixers, grinders, grillers, toasters, vacuum cleaners, coffee makers, dishwashers, chimneys - it's an entire list of home appliances.
All these home appliances come with a range of offers which keep on changing from time to time. yes, I make great jerky, much less expensive than chemically treated store bought stuff. My family gobbles it up. I use fresh beef or venison roasts (if beef, low marbling) I cut thin slices using an electric knife (1/8 inch or less). Then I place all the slices in a large plastic container with a tight fitting lid. You can flavor any way you like, I use worchestrshire, & fresh garlic, with some fresh ground pepper. cover the meat with your mixture, cover and refrigerate. turn the container every couple of hours to thoroughly cover the meat. (I usually let it sit 24 hours). I then drain the meat, and either use my dehydrator or use the oven, set on low (approx 175 degrees). place the meat on metal racks or foil with holes punched in it if you use the oven, you’ll also have to “flip” the pieces over a couple times in the oven. Depending on how thick you cut the meat, it may take 24 to 72 hours to totally dry the meat. Once done, place in an airtight container. I don’t know ho long it really lasts since I’ve never been able to keep it longer than a week before it’s all devoured. When I make it, I cut up about 10 lbs of meat and use approx 3-4 cups of marinade.
I would personally like to see more fridges that fit on top of the counter and are more fitting for condos. Also dishwasher drawers are popular but way expensive! I wish the old 70s style sink dishwasher came back into style as that was an idea that worked!
Slim (less deep) appliances that matched with the width of the counter would be great and more induction heated ovens would be great–bring the price down. Slimmer dishwashers would also work.
For me it’s not so much that I want “fast and easy” I just don’t like “fuss”. Everything we own, we have to clean and the larger appliances require sooooooo much cleaning! Glass shelves require cleaning, etc.
I’d use a wine fridge for a regular fridge if cost wasn’t an issue and I could remove the shelves–becuase it’s 1/2 the height and I could make it on a top counter…also it makes it easier to move around in the kitchen.
Once you have kids and a husband and family over and you’re trying to make supper, it’s easier to have easy to use appliances and appliances that are easy to clean and not jutting out into the kitchen.

If your appliances are yours and you have not signed them away as part and parcel to the sale then yes you may and can take them with you .
I am sorry that you have lost your home ;it is hard to leave behind all the pleasant associations you have of your home .
